I could identify with this man

Generally people consider Kerala as very developed and very educated state. But very few people know especially in the north and north east, that there are very interior places in the borders of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Today I read this man's story: He carried his wife for whole day to reach a hospital. By then, his baby inside is dead but rescued his wife (The Hindu, 11 June 2013).

The tribal man beside his wife (The Hindu).

In my teenage years, I lived in my village. I remember I carried my younger brother on my shoulder for about 3 km to a nearest medical center ran by the Assam Rifles. The same year, along with other villagers, we carried my father to the same center and was hospitalized for few days until he fully recovered.

Alongside, the news about the tribal man, there are other side news that brought joy to me. There was a man who took this couple to the hospital. And some NGOs provided the funds. They are good Samaritans. Praise God for that.
